Vienna Teng to headline Riverfolk!When listening to Vienna Teng sing, the sweetness of her voice and the comfort of her words immediately strike your senses. Teng's self-proclaimed "chamber folk" music and approach to life are simple: Make the world a better, prettier place. And she's taking her message on tour.
MacTalla Mor a hard driving, powerful Celtic and Bagpipe band will certainly be exciting. While they classify themselves as a Celtic roots band, their driving groove seems to have a way of packing festivals with people who don't know (or care) what a jig is. Bagpipes, drums, keyboards, bodhran -- these guys have it all. There's even a magician who entertains the crowd while they play.
NEW "KIDS STUFF"- The Healthy Kids Tent with entertainment by Gemini and activities from the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum to encourage healthy lifestyles for kids. Catskill Puppet Theater, a traveling theater troupe with full sets, colorful scenery, and beautiful puppets transforming Carr Park into a fantasy world of wonder and excitement!
We have some exciting changes in the works for this year's Riverfolk Festival including a new fiddle contest with three divisions. You can expect to hear incredible fiddling and some friendly competition. We hope you'll join us in celebration of the old fiddling tunes; music that is passed on through the generations; music that lifts the spirits and starts your toes a tappin'. *contest*Hot stuff from Breaux Bridge Louisiana, at Riverfolk "Lil Pop" Corey Ledet and His Zydeco Band. 
Corey will light up the dance floor Friday night.
--- GREEN INITIATIVESThe Riverfolk Festival aspires to be as clean and as green as the tall pines that adorn Carr Park. Riverfolk chooses to promote what's best for the environment, just like we choose to promote the finest and freshest musicians. We're improving our recycling program and offset our carbon impact this year.

The"Party In The Park" will take place Friday Night (7-11pm) at Carr Park. Always a relaxed atmosphere with cash bar, buffet, and tasty barbecue by Manchester's own Chef Chris. You won't want to miss the Zydeco sounds from Louisiana's Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, and the Cuban rhythms of Tumbao Bravo.
